Job Title: Casualty Medical Officer (CMO)
Department: Emergency / Casualty
Reporting To: Medical Superintendent / Head of Emergency Department
Job Location: Vedansh Super specialty Hospital and Heart Centre
Job Summary:

The Casualty Medical Officer is responsible for providing prompt and efficient medical care to patients arriving at the hospital’s emergency department. The role involves initial assessment, stabilization, and management of patients with acute and life-threatening conditions, and coordination with specialty departments for further treatment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Attend to all emergency and casualty cases promptly and provide necessary medical attention.
  • Perform initial assessment, diagnosis, and management of patients.
  • Conduct emergency procedures such as intubation, CPR, IV line insertion, catheterization, suturing, etc.
  • Stabilize critically ill patients before transfer to ICU or relevant departments.
  • Coordinate with consultants and specialist doctors for further management.
  • Maintain accurate and complete medical records of all emergency cases.
  • Supervise nursing and paramedical staff in casualty and ensure smooth workflow.
  • Ensure the availability and proper functioning of emergency equipment and medicines.
  • Participate in emergency drills, training sessions, and continuing medical education (CME) programs.
  • Follow hospital protocols, infection control policies, and medico-legal documentation requirements.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Qualification: MBBS degree from a recognized university.
  • Registration: Must be registered with the State Medical Council / MCI / NMC.
  • Experience: Minimum 1–3 years of experience in emergency / casualty / ICU preferred (freshers may also be considered).
  • Additional Certifications (Preferred): ACLS / BLS / ATLS.

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills.
  • Ability to handle medical emergencies efficiently.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Empathy and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Knowledge of emergency equipment and life support systems.

Working Hours:

  • Rotational shifts (including night shifts, weekends, and holidays as per hospital policy).

Remuneration:

As per hospital norms and candidate’s experience.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹90,000.00 per month
