C/C++ Software Developer – Telecom Domain (Contract) W2 only

Location: Dallas, TX or Middletown, NJ (Onsite/Hybrid)
Duration: 6–12+ months (Possible Extension)

Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced C/C++ Software Developer (Telecom Domain) to support a large-scale modernization initiative within a leading telecommunications environment. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience working with legacy systems, system migrations, and high-performance backend development.

This is a long-term contract opportunity to work on mission-critical telecom platforms.

Key Responsibilities

• Analyze and reverse engineer legacy C/C++ codebases to understand system logic and data flow
• Create and maintain technical documentation for system modernization and knowledge transfer
• Lead application and data migration efforts from legacy platforms to modern environments
• Develop and enhance software using C, C++, PL/SQL, and SQL
• Design and optimize Oracle database objects including procedures, functions, and triggers
• Perform performance tuning and query optimization for high-volume systems
• Configure and support Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat application servers
• Troubleshoot application issues and improve system performance and stability
• Develop and maintain automation scripts in AIX/UNIX/Linux shell scripting

Required Skills

• Strong experience in C/C++ development within Telecom environments
• Hands-on experience with PL/SQL, SQL, and Oracle databases
• Experience working on legacy system modernization / application migration
• Proficiency in UNIX/Linux/AIX shell scripting
• Experience with Apache HTTP Server and Tomcat

Pay: From $45.00 per hour
