CCTV & Surveillance Operator

We are seeking a vigilant and detail-oriented CCTV & Surveillance Operator to monitor and manage the security surveillance system. The ideal candidate will be responsible for observing live and recorded CCTV footage, identifying potential security threats, responding to alarms, and ensuring proper documentation of all incidents. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work under pressure.

Major Job Responsibilities:

• Monitor Surveillance: Observe live and recorded video feeds from multiple CCTV cameras to detect suspicious behavior, criminal activity, safety hazards, or operational irregularities.
• Respond to Alerts: Manage alarms, respond to emergency calls, and escalate issues to the appropriate departments or security personnel.
• Report Incidents: Prepare clear, accurate, and concise incident reports for supervisors, security management, or law enforcement when required.
• Equipment Maintenance: Ensure all surveillance equipment is functioning properly; perform basic troubleshooting and coordinate with technical teams for repairs.

• Compliance: Adhere to company security policies, confidentiality standards, and regulatory requirements.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

• Strong understanding of CCTV operations, security protocols, and surveillance systems.
• High attention to detail with the ability to identify irregularities quickly.
• Excellent communication and reporting skills.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under high-pressure situations.
• Knowledge of emergency response procedures and incident escalation paths.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with security teams.
• Sound decision-making skills with a proactive and vigilant mindset.

IT & Technical Skills:

• Hands-on experience with CCTV software, NVR/DVR systems, and IP camera platforms.
• Basic troubleshooting abilities for surveillance equipment.
• Familiarity with access control systems and alarm monitoring dashboards (preferred).
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) for reporting and documentation.
• Ability to learn and adapt to new monitoring technologies and security systems.

Other Requirements:

• Ability to work in rotational shifts, evenings, weekends, or as per security operations needs.
• Strong ethical standards and commitment to confidentiality.
• Physically and mentally fit to remain alert for extended monitoring periods.
• Previous experience in security surveillance or monitoring roles preferred.
