Core duties and responsibilities

  • Menu and recipe management: Plan and develop menus, create daily specials, and research new ingredients and dishes.
  • Food preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of dishes, from appetizers to desserts, adhering to recipes and quality standards.
  • Kitchen and staff supervision: Oversee kitchen staff, delegate tasks, provide training, and ensure all team members are performing their duties effectively and on time.
  • Inventory and cost management: Monitor stock levels, order supplies, inspect deliveries, and manage food costs to minimize waste.
  • Sanitation and safety: Maintain a clean and sanitary kitchen, ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, and manage equipment maintenance.
  • Quality control: Ensure all dishes meet high standards for taste, quality, and presentation before being served.
