Job Role:

A Chemistry Lab Assistant in a school plays a key role in supporting science education by ensuring the smooth, safe, and effective operation of the laboratory. The role involves preparation of experiments, maintenance of lab equipment, management of chemicals and supplies, and providing hands-on support to teachers and students during practical sessions. Opportunities exist in both private and government schools, typically requiring a Science background.

Key Responsibilities

• Experiment Preparation:

Set up practical experiments for Chemistry, Physics, and Biology as per the teacher’s instructions.

• Laboratory Maintenance:

Maintain cleanliness and proper organization of the laboratory, including equipment, chemicals, and glassware.

• Inventory & Equipment Management:

Track and manage stock levels, prepare requisitions for supplies, and ensure all instruments are functioning properly.

• Safety Compliance:

Enforce school lab safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE, safe handling of chemicals, and emergency procedures.

• Classroom Support:

Assist teachers during lab sessions and guide students in performing experiments safely and correctly.

• Record Keeping:

Maintain practical records, experiment logs, and documentation of results as required by the school.

Common Requirements

• Educational Qualification:
• 12th pass in Science (PCM/PCB) or
• B.Sc. in Chemistry / Biochemistry or related fields.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹20,000.00 per month
