Overview:
United Feed Co. is a leading company in the agricultural industry, providing high-quality feed products to farmers and ranchers across the country. We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Chief Accountant to join our team and oversee all financial operations within the company.

Responsibilities:
• Manage and oversee all accounting functions, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting
• Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and controls to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Monitor and analyze financial data to identify variances and recommend solutions for improvement
• Prepare and present financial statements and reports to senior management and stakeholders
• Coordinate and lead the annual budgeting process
• Collaborate with external auditors and tax advisors to ensure timely and accurate completion of audits and tax filings
• Mentor and supervise accounting staff, providing guidance and training as needed
• Keep up-to-date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to ensure compliance and inform decision-making

Requirements:
• Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA designation preferred
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in a senior accounting role, preferably in the agricultural industry
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and regulations, including GAAP
• Proficient in accounting software and MS Office Suite, with advanced Excel skills
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Strong leadership and team management abilities
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
