Role Description

The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing all technical aspects of the vessel, ensuring safe and efficient operation, troubleshooting and maintaining engine room machinery, and supervising electrical and mechanical systems onboard. Responsibilities include overseeing repairs and servicing, supervising technical staff, ensuring compliance with safety and environmental regulations, and delivering training on operational and safety protocols to the crew.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge and expertise in Electricity, Electrical Engineering, and Electrical Wiring
• Hands-on experience with Instrumentation and associated systems
• Ability to effectively train and mentor crew members on technical and safety protocols
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Proficiency in safety regulations and operational compliance
• Valid certification and licensing as per maritime industry standards
• Previous experience as a Chief Engineer or in a related senior technical role on vessels
