About the Role
We are seeking a dynamic and transformational Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead a cutting-edge engineering and specialised manufacturing business through an exciting phase of consolidation, synergy creation, growth, and large-scale transformation.
The CEO will drive strategic direction, operational excellence, multi-plant consolidation, and business transformation across culture, systems, and processes. This role will also lead greenfield projects, global customer engagement, capability building, and next-level business growth ensuring sustainable performance and a high-impact, high-performance culture.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership: -
• Define and execute the organisation’s long-term strategic roadmap in alignment with group-level engineering strategy.
• Lead consolidation of multiple plants, including footprint optimisation, infrastructure integration, and harmonisation of operating systems.
• Drive business transformation across operations, digitalisation, capability building, and new business development.
• Build a product-oriented organisation with strong design ownership and engineering capabilities.
• Champion synergy creation across group companies through shared best practices, vendor consolidation, and technology transfer.
• Oversee planning and execution of greenfield projects, ensuring budget, timelines, and regulatory compliance.
• Expand into new product lines and markets: automotive, industrial, aerospace, and exports.
• Strengthen brand positioning, customer engagement, and international market presence.
Operational Responsibilities: -
• Provide strategic oversight of all plants and business units, ensuring alignment with long-term financial and operational goals.
• Approve Annual Operating Plans and ensure functional objectives support strategic priorities.
• Set up governance forums for performance reviews, risk management, and strategic monitoring.
• Make strategic decisions on capital investments, automation, technology upgrades, and capacity expansion.
• Ensure robust governance, statutory compliance, safety, risk management, and sustainability.
• Represent the organisation with key customers, vendors, government agencies, lenders, and industry bodies.
People & Culture Leadership: -
• Build and mentor a high-performing leadership team with strong succession depth.
• Drive cultural integration and alignment across consolidated plants.
• Lead capability building and leadership development programs.
• Ensure transparent communication, collaboration, and engagement across the organisation.
• Champion change management during transformation and integration phases.
Candidate Profile
Experience: -
• 25+ years in engineering/manufacturing, with minimum 8-10 years in CEO & Business Leadership roles.
• Led large-scale transformation, multi-plant consolidation, and synergy-led cost optimisation.
• Managed full P&L with strong financial discipline.
• Experience working with global customers and international quality standards (preferred).
Required Expertise: -
• Deep experience in manufacturing operations across multi-plant environments.
• Proven track record in plant consolidation, integration management, and synergy creation.
• Strong exposure to greenfield/brownfield project execution and commissioning.
• Solid financial acumen: P&L management, cash flow, investments, ROI modelling.
• Strong knowledge of Lean, TPM, Six Sigma, TOC, and operational excellence frameworks.
• Expertise in supply chain optimisation, strategic sourcing, and vendor development.
• Experience in digital transformation, Industry 4.0, and automation technologies.
• Strong business development capability, including customer acquisition, key account management, and market expansion.
• Product development and engineering orientation, with experience building product-roadmaps and driving design-led differentiation.
Preferred Capabilities: -
• Strategic mindset with the ability to build differentiated product capabilities and niche segment penetration.
• Global exposure with the ability to manage and grow international customer accounts and export-driven business.
• Experience in shutting down, relocating, or consolidating plants is a strong advantage.
• Demonstrated success in leading business transformation journeys across career roles.
