About the Role:
The Chief Finance Officer (CFO) will serve as a strategic financial leader for a major oil & gas business headquartered in Bahrain. Responsible for driving financial strategy, operational excellence, and long-term value creation, the CFO will oversee all financial functions, support corporate growth initiatives, and ensure robust governance in a dynamic, capital-intensive industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Develop and execute financial strategies aligned with corporate objectives and market conditions.

Lead budgeting, forecasting, financial planning, and performance management across the organization.

Ensure full compliance with Bahrain regulatory frameworks, IFRS, taxation, audit, and governance requirements.

Oversee treasury, capital allocation, liquidity management, banking relationships, and cashflow optimization.

Manage financial risks, hedging activities, insurance, and exposure related to crude and commodity markets.

Provide financial leadership for M&A, joint ventures, asset acquisitions, and project financing.

Strengthen internal controls, financial systems, ERP platforms, and reporting frameworks.

Serve as a trusted advisor to the CEO and Board—delivering insights, investment evaluations, and strategic recommendations.

Lead investor relations, external stakeholder communications, and financing negotiations.

Build, mentor, and develop high-performing finance teams across multiple geographies and business units.
Qualifications & Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field; MBA preferred.

Professional certification desirable—CPA, ACCA, CMA, or CFA.

Minimum 15–20 years’ financial leadership experience, including at least 7 years in senior executive roles.

Proven track record as CFO or Finance Director within the oil & gas, energy, petrochemicals, or heavy industrial sectors.

Strong exposure to GCC/MENA markets, regulatory environments, and regional capital structures.

Experience managing large-scale CAPEX projects, upstream/downstream operations, and joint ventures.

Demonstrated capability in corporate finance, restructuring, and strategic transformation.
