Job Summary

Sam’s Air Control is an established, fast-growing HVAC company generating eight-figure annual revenue with double-digit year-over-year growth and a 50+ person team. With a new distribution warehouse underway, we are seeking a CFO who can immediately take command of our financial operations, strengthen internal controls, and build a reliable, scalable financial infrastructure. This role requires a highly capable leader who is confident operating independently and driving organizational discipline.

Responsibilities

  • Direct all financial functions including accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Establish and maintain strong financial controls, reconciliations, and approval workflows.
  • Optimize and oversee data accuracy and reporting across ServiceTitan and QuickBooks.
  • Develop job-costing systems, margin analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and operational KPIs.
  • Lead tax strategy, compliance, and coordination with external accounting partners.
  • Implement and monitor inventory processes, including cycle counts and valuation methods.
  • Improve AR, AP, and working-capital performance to support sustained growth.
  • Provide clear financial guidance to executive leadership and support strategic decision-making.

Skills & Requirements

  • 3 consecutive years in a CFO or senior financial leadership role within HVAC, trades, or field-service industries.
  • 10+ years of total executive financial leadership experience.
  • Mastery of ServiceTitan and QuickBooks is required.
  • Strong understanding of tax law, inventory management, job costing, and financial controls.
  • Demonstrated ability to rebuild, stabilize, or scale financial systems.
  • Independent, proactive leader with a structured, solutions-oriented approach.
  • Advanced financial modeling, forecasting, and KPI development skills.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $100,000.00 - $175,000.00 per year
