ROLE DESCRIPTION
Position: Executive Vice President, Chief Business Development Officer (CBDO)
Company: DenizÖde & NeoHub (Joint Structure)
Reports to: CEO
Department: Business Development and Strategic Partnerships
Location: Istanbul
PURPOSE OF THE ROLE
The Chief Business Development Officer is the senior leader responsible for managing commercial growth, strategic partnerships, ecosystem development, and alignment with the bank’s strategic goals within the integrated structure of DenizÖde and NeoHub.
The aim of this role is to transform the combined financial technology, innovation, and investment capabilities of both companies into a unified commercial value chain aligned with DenizBank’s strategic priorities, driving sustainable growth.
This position is accountable for generating scalable, profitable, and strategic growth through strong relationships with both internal bank units and the external ecosystem.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Commercial Growth and Revenue Development
- Setting annual/periodic commercial targets for DenizÖde and NeoHub.
- Modeling revenue potential for new business lines, products, and initiatives.
- Designing customer acquisition strategies, channel structures, and go‑to‑market plans.
Alignment with DenizBank and Internal Stakeholder Management
- Developing opportunities aligned with DenizBank’s strategic priorities, P&L targets, and growth areas.
- Managing goal‑based collaboration with business units such as Retail, SME/Commercial, Digital Banking, Agriculture, Payments, and Corporate Banking.
- Creating joint product, integration, and customer models.
Strategic Partnerships and Ecosystem Management
- Building and managing high‑impact partnerships with financial institutions, platforms, fintechs, card schemes, and technology providers.
- Designing ecosystems that create end‑to‑end value between the bank and the companies.
- Managing commercial contracts, partnership models, and value‑sharing structures.
Investments and GSYF Integration
- Evaluating investment opportunities under Deniz Ventures GSYF from a commercial perspective.
- Designing product, technology, or commercial integration models with portfolio ventures.
- Managing radar for M&A and strategic partnership opportunities.
New Ventures and Business Design (Venture Building)
- Leading the commercial design of new business models developed in NeoHub’s venture studio.
- Creating value propositions, business models, and revenue mechanisms for “0 to 1” ventures.
International Business Development
- Developing joint growth areas with ENBD ecosystem and global partners.
- Managing international product integrations, collaborations, and new market opportunities.
Regulatory and Governance Alignment
- Managing regulatory impact on commercial structures and designing compliant models with a risk & compliance perspective.
- Coordinating in matrix structures with product, technology, legal, finance, and marketing teams.
- Representing the commercial perspective in board and senior management committees.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
Professional Experience
- 10–15 years of experience in banking, payments, fintech, digital products, innovation, or CVC.
- Proven success in managing large‑scale strategic partnerships.
- Experience collaborating with bank business units in alignment with strategic goals.
- Expertise in business development and ecosystem building in multi‑stakeholder environments.

- Strong commercial intuition and relationship management.
- Strategic communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
- Market analysis, business model design, and opportunity creation capabilities.
- Problem solving, decision‑making, and results orientation.
- Ability to work effectively in matrix organizations with high collaboration skills.

Internal Stakeholders: Product, Technology, Marketing, Finance, Legal, Operations; DenizBank business units
External Stakeholders: Fintechs, card schemes, technology providers, global partners, investment ecosystem
