The company operates in a specialized segment where engineering excellence, on-time performance, and reliability are non-negotiable. With new investments in automation, data visibility, and production systems, the business is positioned to scale its capabilities and strengthen its position as a trusted manufacturing partner.

About the Role

The Chief Operating Officer will lead the company’s operational and production functions—owning performance across manufacturing, supply chain, and engineering. This role is both strategic and hands-on: translating growth objectives into measurable outcomes while driving efficiency, cost control, and cultural alignment. The COO will serve as a key partner to ownership, ensuring that systems, people, and processes evolve in step with the company’s expansion.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee all production and operational activities to ensure quality, safety, and delivery standards are consistently met.
  • Implement systems that improve throughput, reduce downtime, and enhance visibility across departments.
  • Lead process improvement initiatives, focusing on data-driven decision-making, lean manufacturing, and cost efficiency.
  • Collaborate with engineering and technical teams to strengthen product reliability and shorten development cycles.
  • Build and develop leadership capability at every level of the organization.
  • Partner with ownership on capacity planning, resource allocation, and long-term operational strategy.

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated success in senior operations leadership within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Deep understanding of production systems, process control, and performance metrics.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional teams through growth and organizational change.
  • Strong command of financials, including cost analysis, capital planning, and budgeting.
  • Experience implementing lean principles, ERP/MRP systems, or automation upgrades.
  • Clear, direct communicator with a practical, hands-on leadership style.

Preferred Skills

  • Experience in a privately held or founder-led business.
  • Exposure to high-mix or precision manufacturing environments.
  • History of leading plant modernization, process retooling, or scaling initiatives.

Pay range and compensation package

Base salary of $160,000–$180,000 with annual incentive potential up to 40% and participation in a long-term value creation program (3–5 years).
