Role: Chief Strategy Officer (CSO – Strategy & Business Development)
Location: Mumbai
Role Summary
The Chief Strategy Officer (CSO) drives the strategic roadmap, growth initiatives, and external partnerships for the TCS AI Data Centre business. The role ensures long-term value creation through portfolio planning, mergers & acquisitions (if any), and continuous market intelligence.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic Planning:
- Define and update the 5-year business plan and MW deployment roadmap.
- Develop new markets and site expansion strategies (domestic and overseas).
Business Development:
- Identify strategic partners (hyperscalers, AI labs, OEMs, investors).
- Work with CCO to build a structured client acquisition and diversification plan.
Investment & Growth:
- Evaluate inorganic growth opportunities (M&A, land banking).
- Support the CEO and CFO on board papers and investment proposals.
Market Intelligence:
- Maintain a real-time dashboard of global AI and data-centre developments.
- Track competition (Adani, Nxtra, Yotta, STT GDC, NTT, CtrlS, etc.).
Governance & Reporting:
- Anchor monthly strategy reviews and portfolio performance metrics.
Ideal Background
- 15–20 years in corporate strategy, consulting, or business development (energy, infra, or cloud).
- Strong understanding of data-centre economics, land and power value chains, and investor relations.
