Child Care Teacher

Applicants must currently reside in the Bay Area. We are not able to accommodate out of state applicants or work visas.

Full time or part time Co-Teacher / Teacher's Assistant position available during the hours of 8:30am to 5:30pm.

The position is immediately available.

We are searching for a Co-Teacher at a Reggio Emilia / Waldorf inspired In-Home Preschool located in the Mission Bay neighborhood in San Francisco. Our program accepts children 2.5 to 5 years old.

Daily responsibilities include:

• Helping lead Morning Circle
• Helping supervise the children during outdoor time
• Preparing and serving three daily meals
• Cleaning
• Supervising the children during nap time
• Helping the children with bathroom tasks
• Assisting the children in Social Emotional Learning
• Helping with the creation and implementation of academic learning games, activities, and projects

Other position responsibilities may include (but are not limited to):

• Helping develop and prepare the curriculum and food menu
• Documenting the children’s growth and progress
• Communicating with the children’s parents at drop off and pick up
• Attending staff meetings
• Attending parent / teacher check-ins
• Attending the school’s special / holiday events

Position Requirements:

We can help you obtain and reimburse you for the following CPR and Mandated Reporter certifications as well as the live scan fingerprinting and background check.

• Must currently reside in the Bay Area. We are not able to accommodate out of state applicants or work visas.
• Experience working in daycares, preschools, centers, private schools, or public schools is required.
• Proficiency in English
• Must pass a live scan fingerprinting and background check
• Must obtain an EMSA CPR certification
• Must complete the Mandated Child Abuse reporter training
• Proof a vaccination record. You may need to receive new vaccines if you do not have those which are required by state licensing (Tdap and MMR)

Pay ranges is $25 - $30 / hr. Payroll is conducted through ADP.

Employees are given a total of over 4 weeks paid vacation time per year in addition to 40 hours of paid sick leave.
