Childcare Teacher

Hearts 'n Hands Childcare is looking for a part time employee to work with children from toddlers to school age (1st grade). The position we are looking for would be a person willing to sub or assist in any age classroom as needed. Hours would be varied. If you have previous experience working with children and are interested in joining our team, we encourage you to apply.

Teacher responsibilities and duties

• Work with children in the classroom to promote their learning and development
• Feel confident leading a group of children on their own if filling in as a substitute
• Be flexible with their hours and willing to work a varied schedule from week to week.

Teacher Assistant qualifications and skills

• High school diploma/GED required (CDA strongly preferred- employer will assist with obtaining CDA if desired)
• 2+ years’ experience with young children
• Excellent communication skills
• Compassionate attitude and understanding of child development
• Nurturing teaching approach

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $17.00 per hour
