Chiller Van Driver

Job Summary:

The Chiller Van Driver is responsible for safely transporting chilled and frozen food products within Dubai, ensuring full compliance with Dubai Municipality (DM) and RTA regulations. The driver will maintain food safety, vehicle hygiene, and temperature compliance while delivering excellent service to clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Driving & Delivery:

• Operate company chiller vans safely according to RTA traffic rules.
• Deliver chilled (≤5°C) and frozen (≤-18°C) food products to clients within scheduled timelines.
• Minimize door opening time during deliveries to maintain product temperature.

Food Safety & Temperature Compliance:

• Monitor and log chiller temperature at dispatch, during transit, and at delivery.
• Report any temperature deviations or equipment malfunctions to the supervisor immediately.
• Ensure products are pre-chilled/frozen before loading; avoid loading warm goods.

Loading & Unloading:

• Follow LIFO (Last-In-First-Out) loading method to optimize delivery efficiency.
• Avoid blocking airflow vents when stacking items.
• Maintain cleanliness of loading/unloading areas and cargo compartment.

Vehicle Maintenance & Inspection:

• Conduct pre-trip vehicle inspection (cleanliness, chiller functionality, documentation).
• Report mechanical issues or temperature faults to the maintenance team.
• Park vehicle at designated bay and maintain post-trip cleanliness.

Safety & Hygiene:

• Follow personal hygiene standards: clean uniform, safety shoes, gloves, hairnets.
• Adhere to driving safety and emergency protocols.
• No smoking, eating, or sleeping inside the chiller van.

Documentation & Reporting:

• Maintain accurate records: Vehicle Pre-Trip Checklist, Temperature Logs, Delivery Confirmations, Incident Reports, and Maintenance Logs.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Valid UAE Driving License (Light Vehicle or relevant category).
• Minimum of 2 years of experience driving refrigerated/chiller vehicles is preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety standards, temperature control, and hygiene regulations.
• Ability to read and record temperature logs accurately.
• Strong communication and time management skills.
• Physically capable of loading/unloading goods when required.
