Job Title: Chocolate Chef Assistant

Location: Nuwa Dates – Al Ain

Experience Required: 1–2 Years in Chocolate, Pastry, Bakery, or Food Production (Preferred)

Job Purpose:

The Chocolate Chef Assistant will support the Chocolate Chef in preparing chocolate-coated dates, truffles, fillings, decorations, and other specialty products. The role involves production work, maintaining quality standards, ensuring hygiene, and assisting with daily kitchen operations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Production Support

Assist the Chocolate Chef in preparing chocolate mixes, fillings, date coatings, and garnishes.

Help in producing chocolate-dipped dates, stuffed dates, truffles, and signature Nuwa Dates items.

Operate basic kitchen equipment such as melting machines, tempering machines, and mixers.

Ensure consistent product quality, size, shape, and presentation.

2. Preparation & Handling

Prepare ingredients such as nuts, fillings, toppings, and chocolate blocks.

Handle chocolate tempering under supervision.

Maintain correct storage conditions for chocolate and raw material.

Assist in pre-production setup and post-production cleaning.

3. Packaging & Presentation

Support packing and labeling of finished chocolate and date products.

Ensure products are neatly arranged and meet Nuwa Dates presentation standards.

Assist in preparing special order boxes and gift arrangements.

4. Hygiene & Safety

Maintain cleanliness and organization of the chocolate kitchen.

Follow strict hygiene, food safety, and municipality guidelines.

Ensure tools, trays, and equipment are sanitized and properly stored.

Report any quality issues or equipment faults to the Chef.

5. Teamwork & Operations

Work closely with the Chef and production team to meet daily targets.

Follow instructions accurately and complete tasks on time.

Assist in inventory checks and reporting shortages of ingredients.

Participate in seasonal production increases (Ramadan, National Day, etc.).

Required Qualifications & Skills

1–2 years of experience in chocolate making, pastry, bakery, or food production.

Basic knowledge of chocolate handling and food preparation.

Good understanding of hygiene and food safety standards.

Ability to follow recipes, instructions, and SOPs.

Strong attention to detail and product presentation.

Ability to work under pressure during peak production.

Team player with a positive attitude.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: AED1,800.00 - AED2,500.00 per month
