Key Responsibilities:
- Teach undergraduate courses in Cinematography & Audiovisual Production, including but not limited to:
- Audiovisual Production
- Cinematography
- Test Image and Sound
- Multiplatform Storytelling
- Art & Business of Gaming
- Digital Imaging
- Develop and update course syllabi and materials to reflect industry trends and academic advancements.
- Mentor and advise students on academic and career development.
- Supervise undergraduate projects and internships.
Research & Scholarship:
- Conduct and publish high-quality research in Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or related fields.
- Seek external research funding and engage in interdisciplinary projects.
- Present research at academic and industry conferences.
Service & Industry Engagement:
- Participate in departmental and university service, including curriculum development and accreditation processes.
- Engage with the industry to strengthen partnerships, facilitate student internships, and develop real-world learning opportunities.
- Contribute to community outreach and knowledge-sharing initiatives.
Qualifications & Experience:
- A PhD in Communications, Advertising, Integrated Marketing Communications, or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated ability to publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Prior university-level teaching experience preferred.
- A strong record of peer-reviewed research publications.
- A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the university level.
Preferred Qualifications & Skills:
- Industry experience in advertising, marketing communications, or public relations.
- Proficiency in digital and emerging media strategies for advertising.
- Experience with experiential learning methodologies and student mentorship.
- Familiarity with accreditation processes and curriculum development.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
