City Limits Subaru - Vehicle Acquisition Specialist

The Vehicle Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the oversite of the acquisition team, both appraisers and sales team members. The Acquisition Team is responsible for maximizing the number of used vehicles acquired from the dealership’s service customers through a direct purchase of the vehicle or, ideally, trading the customer into a new vehicle.

Duties and responsibilities

• Structure, develop, and grow this department and team
• Ensure all transactions and interactions are completed in a manner that creates “customers for life”
• Research and understand market pricing daily
• Identify the best possible product that meets the standards of IDEA AG used car demographics
• Utilize software and other inventory tools to establish the prior status and value of vehicles for purchase
• Stays abreast on new on-line auction platforms, and other options for appraising vehicles
• Maintains ongoing customer relations with auction personnel
• Develop new and maintain positive relationships with various vendors

Supervisory Responsibility – Exempt status

This position has direct reports.

Work Environment

Test drives are common in all variety of car models and could be required in low light or adverse weather conditions. Job can include loud noises, odors and high activity work.

Physical Demands

Safely drive a variety of vehicles in inclement weather or road conditions. May sit, walk or stand for long periods of time in all weather and temperature conditions. Repetitive use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as standing, climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, reaching, grasping, hearing, seeing and talking.

Travel

This position requires local travel- up to 25%.
