Role Overview
The City Operations Manager – Guwahati will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing all city-level procurement, vendor management, inventory control, and last-mile operations. This role demands strong analytical, negotiation, and leadership skills to ensure operational excellence, process efficiency, and customer satisfaction while maintaining profitability and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Procurement & Vendor Management
- Achieve and maintain an overall margin of 20% through strategic supplier negotiations and regular pricing reviews.
- Secure 100% vendor credit note recovery within 30 days through proactive tracking and follow-up.
- Extend vendor credit terms by 45 days each quarter through contract renegotiations and relationship management.
- Ensure ≥99% procurement reporting accuracy with monthly audit reviews.
- Conduct quarterly vendor ledger reconciliations, resolving discrepancies within 5 working days.
Inventory & Refill Management
- Maintain Just-In-Time (JIT) refill rate below 10% of total inventory replenishments through accurate demand forecasting and inventory planning.
- Conduct 100% error-free monthly stock audits and resolve mismatches within 5 working days.
- Ensure 100% on-time procurement and refill of packing materials every month.
Order Fulfilment & Logistics
- Achieve ≥95% same-day dispatch and connection rate for all completed orders.
- Maintain ≥95% on-time Purchase Order (PO) to Goods Receipt Note (GRN) closures by closely monitoring vendor timelines.
- Maintain ≥95% on-time delivery rate for Hyperlocal orders through effective coordination with logistics partners.
- Reduce procurement cycle time by ≥15% month-over-month using workflow automation and process improvements.
Team Management & Training
- Recruit, train, and onboard frontline and operations staff as per manpower plans.
- Ensure 100% completion of required training and certifications for team members on a monthly or quarterly basis.
- Participate in and conduct cross-functional and technology meetings to drive operational improvements and process alignment.
Key Skills & Competencies
- Strong knowledge of procurement, vendor management, and supply chain operations.
- Proven experience in team leadership, performance management, and staff development.
- Excellent analytical, negotiation, and decision-making skills.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities.
- Proficiency in MS Excel, ERP tools, and workflow automation platforms.
