Civil Architect – Job Description

A Civil Architect is responsible for designing, planning, and overseeing the aesthetic, functional, and structural aspects of buildings and infrastructure projects. The role ensures that architectural designs are practical, safe, compliant with regulations, and meet client expectations.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture (B.Arch / M.Arch).
• 3+ years of experience in architectural design.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop architectural concepts, designs, and detailed drawings for residential, commercial, and industrial projects.
• Prepare 2D drawings, 3D models, layouts, and presentation boards.
• Collaborate with civil engineers, structural engineers, and MEP teams to integrate architectural and technical requirements.
• Conduct site visits to ensure design compliance during construction.
• Prepare project specifications, material selections, and BOQ related to architectural works.
• Ensure designs comply with building codes, zoning laws, and local regulations.
• Meet with clients to understand requirements and provide design recommendations.
• Manage revisions, approvals, and coordination with consultants and contractors.
• Monitor project progress and provide architectural guidance to the site team.
• Stay updated with the latest design trends, materials, and technology.

Required Skills:

• Proficiency in AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, 3ds Max, Lumion, or similar design software.
• Strong knowledge of building materials, construction practices, and design standards.
• Excellent creativity, visualisation, and drafting skills.
• Good communication and client-handling abilities.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

Salary Range:

• ₹15,000 – ₹25,000 per month
• (Varies based on experience, location, and project size)
