Position Overview:
The Contracts Manager will oversee and manage contracts related to infrastructure projects, specifically focusing on sewerage networks, storm water networks, and associated works. This role demands a comprehensive understanding of local Bahrain Ministry standards and documentation, ensuring compliance and effective communication with relevant authorities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Contract Management:
- Develop, review, and manage contracts related to infrastructure projects, ensuring all terms are met and aligned with local regulations.
- Liaise with the Bahrain Ministry to ensure compliance with local standards and documentation requirements.
- Project Oversight:
- Supervise and coordinate with Project Managers, Engineers, Quantity Surveyors, Safety Officers, and workforce to ensure project delivery aligns with timelines and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and performance, identifying and addressing any issues that arise.
- Financial Management:
- Prepare and manage project costings, budgets, and financial forecasts to ensure profitability.
- Conduct regular financial reviews and audits to track expenses and optimize resource allocation.
- Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure all project documentation is maintained accurately, including contracts, correspondence, and reports.
- Prepare regular progress reports for senior management, highlighting achievements, challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Resource Management:
- Oversee the allocation of manpower, equipment, and transportation to ensure projects are adequately resourced.
- Ensure that all resources are compliant with safety and quality standards.
- Technical Oversight:
- Provide technical guidance on infrastructure works, including pipe laying projects, open trench works, and sewerage networks.
- Ensure the implementation of best practices in construction methods and project execution.
- Quality Assurance:
- Monitor and enforce adherence to quality standards throughout the project lifecycle.
- Develop and implement quality control measures to enhance project outcomes.
- Stakeholder Engagement:
- Maintain effective communication with stakeholders, including clients, subcontractors, and regulatory bodies.
- Resolve any contractual disputes or issues in a timely and professional manner.
- Target Achievement:
- Set and achieve project targets, ensuring alignment with company goals and objectives.
- Implement performance metrics to evaluate project success and facilitate continuous improvement.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Proven experience in contract management within the infrastructure sector, particularly sewerage and storm water networks.
- Strong understanding of Bahrain's local regulations and standards related to civil works.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide diverse teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on delivering projects profitably and efficiently.
