Civil Site Engineer – Role Overview

A Civil Site Engineer supervises and manages on-site construction activities, ensuring that projects are executed according to design specifications, completed on schedule, and delivered within the approved budget. The role involves coordinating with construction teams, subcontractors, clients, and other professionals while maintaining strict adherence to quality and safety standards.

Core Responsibilities

1. Project Management

• Oversee project activities, schedules, and budgets to ensure timely and cost-effective completion.

2. Technical Supervision

• Interpret technical drawings, set out sites, and verify that all work meets required specifications and quality standards.

3. Site Coordination

• Manage workflow, materials, and equipment on site, and coordinate with subcontractors and various trades.

4. Quality & Safety Compliance

• Implement quality control measures and ensure full compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.

5. Reporting & Documentation

• Prepare daily site reports, track progress, and maintain all project-related documentation.

6. Problem-Solving

• Provide technical guidance and resolve issues that arise during construction activities.

Key Skills & Qualifications

• ​Strong project management and organizational abilities
• Solid technical expertise in civil engineering
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings
• Ability to work on-site in varying weather conditions
• Relevant experience, typically supported by a Civil Engineering degree
• Dubai Municipality professional license (required or preferred)
