Location: Onsite – Riyadh , Dammam , Jeddah , Tabuk , Abha , Arar , and other cities across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia


Role Overview

As a Civil Inspector , you will play a key role in performing technical inspections related to Inherited Defects Insurance (IDI) projects across Saudi Arabia. You will be responsible for ensuring that all inspections are conducted in compliance with IDI requirements, Saudi Building Codes , and relevant international standards.

This position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple inspections efficiently while maintaining high standards of quality and accuracy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform assigned site inspections in accordance with project requirements and inspection schedules.
  • Prepare and submit inspection reports within the same day of inspection.
  • Coordinate with clients prior to inspections and ensure timely attendance.
  • Review relevant project documentation and prepare IDI technical reports as required.
  • Review previously issued reports to understand the current project conditions prior to site visits.
  • Revise and correct inspection reports as necessary to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Maintain professional communication with clients, contractors, and project stakeholders throughout the inspection process.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives by identifying and reporting recurring issues or risks.
  • Ensure compliance with company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures at all times.
  • Uphold company values, ethical standards, and the professional code of conduct.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
  • 2–5 years of experience in Structural Engineering and Building Inspections.
  • Solid understanding of the Saudi Building Code (SBC) .
  • Strong knowledge of structural and material standards, including soil and foundations, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete, and steel structures.
  • Familiarity with building envelope systems (e.g., curtain walls, waterproofing, façade stone cladding, etc.).
  • Proven ability to interpret inspection results and recommend corrective actions or solutions.
  • Excellent report-writing and documentation skills.
  • Proficient in English and Arabic (written and spoken).
  • Skilled in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and engineering software such as ETABS, SAFE, AutoCAD , or similar tools.
  • Strong communication, coordination, and time management skills.
  • Valid Saudi driving license preferred.

Additional Information

This role requires frequent sit visits across the city. The successful candidate will be expected to work closely with regional project managers and contribute to the delivery of high-quality inspection services under the IDI program.
