Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Inspector - Civil to join our team based in Dubai, UAE. The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting, and reporting on all civil works to ensure compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, international standards, and relevant local regulations.
We envisage success in this role to include;
Conduct daily site inspections of civil and structural activities, including excavation, shoring, foundation works, concrete works, rebar installation, formwork, blockwork, waterproofing, and finishing works.
Ensure all works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, project specifications, method statements, and safety standards.
Monitor contractor performance, identify non-conformances, and ensure corrective actions are carried out promptly.
Review and verify material deliveries and ensure compliance with approved material submittals.
Assist the Resident Engineer and Project Engineers in managing and overseeing civil works on site.
Maintain daily site logs, inspection reports, NCRs, and other project documentation.
Participate in site meetings, progress reviews, and coordination meetings as required.
Provide technical guidance to contractors and ensure that any deviations are reported and addressed.
Coordinate testing and inspection activities with third-party laboratories, as necessary.
Support the implementation of the project’s quality assurance and quality control (QA/QC) procedures.
Ensure site safety practices and permit-to-work procedures are adhered to at all times.
Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 8 years work experience partnered with a Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering.
Experience gained from working on major High-rise / Low-rise building construction projects is being looked for.
