Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Litigation Attorney to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in various areas of law, including Civil Law and Personal Injury Law. While experience is preferred, it is not required. A willingness to learn and be trained in these areas is required.

This role requires excellent negotiation skills, strong client communication skills, thorough research abilities, and proficiency in legal research tools such as Fastcase. As a Litigation Attorney, you will represent clients in court, manage case files, and provide strategic legal advice.

Responsibilities

  • Represent clients in litigation matters across various practice areas including Civil Law and Personal Injury.
  • Conduct thorough legal research and analysis to support case strategies.
  • Prepare legal documents such as pleadings, motions, and briefs.
  • Negotiate settlements on behalf of clients while ensuring their best interests are prioritized.
  • Manage case files from inception through resolution, maintaining accurate records and documentation.
  • Communicate effectively with clients to keep them informed about case developments and legal options.
  • Collaborate with other attorneys and legal staff within the law office to ensure comprehensive representation for clients.
  • Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to practice areas.

Qualifications and Expectations

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school [OR] Completion of the APR 6 Law Clerk Program through WSBA
  • Admission to the Washington State Bar
  • Proven experience in litigation with a focus on Civil Law and Personal Injury Law preferred but not required
  • Experience in litigation in any other focus area required
  • Willingness to be trained if no experience in Civil/Personal Injury areas
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to advocate effectively for clients.
  • Proficient in legal research tools.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational abilities to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented law office environment.
  • Self-Motivated
  • Professional attire during all scheduled hearings pursuant to local court rules.
  • 1200 annual billable hours required
