Gendler & Gendler, PLLC is a growing boutique law firm representing individuals and small businesses throughout South Florida. Our work includes debt collection defense, breach of contract actions, guaranty disputes, foreclosure defense, and more complex civil and commercial matters including breach of fiduciary duty claims, partnership disputes, and tort litigation.

What We're Looking For

We’re looking for a litigation attorney with 3+ years of civil litigation experience who is comfortable working on assignments independently but cases collaboratively. In other words, attorneys will work collaboratively front-end strategy and case development, but should be able to take that guidance and produce pleadings, motions, and other filings. Comfort in the courtroom and/or with depositions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage your own caseload while collaborating with partners on strategy and direction.
• Conduct legal research skills and learn new areas of law as needed.
• Draft impactful pleadings, motions, and memoranda that are clear, concise, and avoid unnecessary “legalese.”
• Prepare and respond to written discovery.
• Handle hearings, depositions, and mediations (mostly remote, occasionally in person).
• Communicate effectively and confidently with clients and opposing counsel.
• Take initiative to move cases forward and monitor deadlines.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
• Licensed and in good standing with The Florida Bar.
• Strong legal writing and research skills; able to draft polished work product.
• Confident communicator who can manage clients and advocate effectively.
• Organized, proactive, and dependable.
• Comfort working in a fully-remote environment
• Spanish proficiency is a plus, not a requirement.

• Competitive base salary ($90,000+) depending on experience and writing ability
