Civil Site Engineer – Joinery

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Civil Site Engineer – Joinery to join our team in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for supervising, coordinating, and ensuring the timely and high-quality execution of all joinery works at the project site. This includes doors, wardrobes, cabinets, wall cladding, decorative wood finishes, and other bespoke joinery elements related to high-rise building interiors. The role ensures compliance with project specifications, safety standards, and approved drawings while coordinating closely with subcontractors and technical teams.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Site Execution & Supervision

• Supervise and monitor all joinery activities at site to ensure compliance with approved drawings and project specifications.
• Review IFC drawings, shop drawings, and material submittals related to joinery works.
• Coordinate with the Technical and QA/QC teams for inspections and approvals.
• Ensure proper installation of doors, frames, wardrobes, wall panels, counters, wooden ceilings, skirting, and all customized joinery elements.
• Verify correct site measurements before fabrication and installation.

2. Coordination

• Coordinate daily with subcontractors, site teams, and suppliers to ensure timely progress of joinery works.
• Liaise with the Project Engineer/Construction Manager regarding technical issues, material requirements, and work schedules.
• Attend site meetings and ensure joinery activities are aligned with overall project timelines.

3. Quality & Compliance

• Ensure all joinery installations meet quality and finishing standards required for high-rise towers.
• Conduct inspections to identify defects and follow up for rectification.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, method statements, and UAE construction standards.

4. Materials & Documentation

• Follow up on material requests, deliveries, and storage to avoid delays.
• Maintain daily site reports, progress monitoring, measurement sheets, and installation logs.
• Assist in preparing as-built drawings and handover documentation.

5. Safety & Site Regulations

• Ensure all joinery works comply with company HSE standards.
• Monitor safe site practices and ensure workers use appropriate tools and protective equipment.

Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 4–7 years of experience in joinery works within UAE construction sector.
• Experience working on tower/high-rise projects preferred.
• Strong knowledge of joinery materials, fabrication processes, and installation methods.
• Ability to read and interpret architectural, civil, and joinery shop drawings.
• Good communication, leadership, and site coordination skills.
• Familiar with UAE Codes, project specifications, and QA/QC standards.
