Job Summary:

The Civil & Structural Design Engineer will be responsible for leading the design, analysis, and detailing of civil and structural systems for industrial, commercial, and infrastructure projects. The role demands deep technical expertise in structural design, proficiency in relevant design software, and a strong understanding of codes and standards. The ideal candidate will ensure high-quality, safe, and cost-effective engineering solutions that align with project specifications and company standards.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Structural Design & Analysis

  • Perform detailed design and analysis of RCC and steel structures for industrial buildings, equipment foundations, pipe racks, and other structures.
  • Ensure designs comply with national and international standards (IS, ACI, BS, ASTM, etc.).
  • Review design inputs, perform load calculations, and prepare design reports.
  • Conduct structural stability checks, connection design, and seismic/wind load analysis.

2. Civil Design & Detailing

  • Prepare and review civil design drawings including site grading, drainage, roads, and foundation layouts.
  • Coordinate with CAD teams to ensure accuracy and quality of drawings.
  • Verify civil and structural design deliverables as per project requirements.

3. Project Coordination & Review

  • Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams (Mechanical, Electrical, Process, and Piping).
  • Interface with clients, consultants, and vendors for design approvals and clarifications.
  • Support project engineers in preparing Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and material specifications.

4. Quality & Compliance

  • Ensure design compliance with safety, quality, and sustainability standards.
  • Review and approve vendor drawings related to civil and structural works.
  • Support site teams in resolving design-related queries during construction.

5. Documentation & Reporting

  • Prepare design calculation reports, technical notes, and design basis documents.
  • Maintain proper documentation and revision control for all design deliverables.
  • Provide technical inputs during proposal and estimation stages.

Required Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of structural engineering principles and practices.
  • Expertise in RCC and steel design for industrial and infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in design software such as STAAD.Pro, ETABS, SAFE, RISA, or equivalent.
  • Good understanding of AutoCAD and BIM tools.
  • Familiarity with geotechnical reports and foundation design.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and mentor junior engineers and coordinate design teams.

Preferred Background:

  • Experience in EPC / Design Consultancy / Construction industries.
  • Exposure to projects in oil & gas, power, chemical, or heavy industrial sectors.
  • Working knowledge of design codes such as IS 456, IS 800, IS 1893, AISC, and ASCE.
  • Experience in preparing and reviewing fabrication and reinforcement drawings.
  • Willingness to visit project sites for design reviews or technical support.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹2,500,000.00 per year
