Job Summary:
We are seeking a motivated Civil/Structural Designer I to support our engineering team in developing high-quality designs and drafting deliverables using modern CAD and BIM practices. This position involves collecting and analyzing field data, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams, and creating accurate civil and structural drawings for industrial and infrastructure projects. Occasional travel to client sites—both local and out-of-state—may be required for field measurements, client meetings, and data collection.

This is a hybrid position; remote work is not available. Entry-level candidates may start part-time or full-time, with potential to transition into a full-time, long-term role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist engineers in developing civil and structural design drawings and layouts.
• Prepare and update 2D and 3D models using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and related software.
• Collect and analyze field data, including measurements and site observations.
• Coordinate design details with other engineering disciplines for unified project delivery.
• Ensure designs meet applicable codes, standards, and constructability requirements.
• Participate in field visits using GPS surveying and laser scanning equipment.
• Maintain organized documentation and drawing standards throughout project phases.
• Support the design team in meeting deadlines and quality standards.

Qualifications:

• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.
• Willing to undergo background check and drug screening post-offer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• Proficient with MS Office and design software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Navisworks.
• Willingness to learn field equipment and data collection techniques.
• Ability to commute to the office and maintain consistent attendance.

Education & Experience:

• Vocational or Associate’s degree in Computer-Aided Drafting & Design (CADD) or equivalent experience.
• 2–5 years of experience drafting or designing civil/structural projects preferred.
• Knowledge of foundation design, steel framing, concrete, wood, and masonry structures.
• Basic understanding of site layouts, grading, and utility design preferred.
• Experience with surveying, total stations, or Autodesk Civil 3D a plus.
