Job description
Orano USA is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineer II to support Project IKE. This role focuses on the design, analysis, and evaluation of structural systems for nuclear facilities. Under general supervision and reporting to the Civil/Structural Engineering Lead, the engineer will contribute to infrastructure development and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform structural analysis and design for foundations, supports, and facility structures.
- Prepare and review drawings, calculations, and specifications.
- Support construction activities and resolve field issues.
- Ensure compliance with seismic, wind, and load-bearing requirements.
- Collaborate with other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated design.
- Participate in design reviews and technical documentation.

Ideal qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- BS in Civil or Structural Engineering, plus 2–3 years of experience.
- Advanced degrees or PE license may substitute for experience or education.
- Must be eligible for security clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with nuclear facility design.
- Proficiency in structural modeling software (e.g., STAAD.Pro, SAP2000).
- Knowledge of ACI, AISC, and ASCE standards.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to remain in a stationary position, walk, kneel, and crouch as needed.
- Regular use of a computer and other office equipment.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
