Hiring: Sitework / Underground Superintendent

A&R Development Group LLC is actively seeking an experienced Sitework/Underground Superintendent to join our team in Ocala, Florida. We are a fast-growing civil construction company specializing in site development and underground utilities, and we are looking for a leader who knows the industry inside and out.

Position Overview

The Superintendent will oversee day-to-day field operations for sitework and underground utility projects. This role requires a knowledgeable, hands-on leader capable of managing multiple crews, interpreting plans, maintaining production, and making effective decisions in real time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all field operations for sitework and underground utility projects
• Manage multiple crews and ensure daily production goals are met
• Operate and utilize GPS & survey equipment (Trimble, Topcon, etc.)
• Read and interpret full plan sets and specifications
• Coordinate with project managers, inspectors, and subcontractors
• Track quantities, progress, and maintain project documentation
• Ensure jobsite safety, quality control, and compliance with local codes
• Make smart, efficient decisions on the fly to keep projects moving
• Assist with layout, grading checks, and utility installation verification

Qualifications

• 5+ years experience in site development & underground utilities
• Strong knowledge of storm, sewer, water, fire lines, and site grading
• Proficient with GPS machine control & survey equipment
• Ability to manage multiple crews and complex job sites
• Strong understanding of construction sequencing and scheduling
• Ability to read civil plans, details, and profiles
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Valid driver’s license required
• Must be reliable, organized, and safety-focused
