Cleaner / Gym Maintenance (GM)

Job description:

We’re looking for a reliable, proactive, and well-presented individuals to join our Gym Maintenance Team. In this role, you’ll help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment across all areas of the facility. You’ll be part of the daily operations — keeping the gym floor tidy, ensuring changing rooms and toilets are spotless, monitoring equipment condition, and helping to create the best possible experience for our members. This role is ideal for someone who takes pride in their work, has high attention to detail, and enjoys working in a physically active environment

Duties & responsibilities:

Maintain cleanliness and organization across all areas of the gym, including the gym floor, studios, reception, changing rooms, showers, toilets, and staff areas

Work to daily and weekly cleaning schedules while remaining alert to areas that require immediate or additional attention throughout the day

Check changing rooms and toilets regularly, ensuring floors, cubicles, tiles, and mirrors are clean and restocked with essential supplies such as soap, toilet paper, and sanitizer

Use all cleaning chemicals and equipment safely, correctly, and in line with training and safety protocols; attend refresher or update training sessions as required

Operate cleaning machinery (e.g. floor scrubbers, vacuums) in accordance with manufacturer and company guidelines

Ensure gym members receive a friendly, consistent, and professional level of service at all times, contributing to a welcoming and clean environment

Respond quickly to member feedback or requests, and report any issues, compliments, or complaints to reception or management

Identify and report faults or maintenance issues with gym equipment, lighting, plumbing, or facilities promptly

Maintain high personal standards of hygiene, appearance, and uniform in line with company and legal requirements

Follow all health & safety and facility guidelines; ensure compliance among team members and observe safe practices at all times, supporting a secure environment for both staff and members

Skills & Qualifications

Previous experience in cleaning, maintenance, or facilities (preferably in gyms, hotels, or similar environments)

Physically fit and comfortable with active, on-your-feet work throughout the shift

Strong attention to detail with a proactive approach to spotting and resolving issues

Friendly and approachable, with a professional attitude towards members and colleagues

Well-presented and committed to high standards of personal hygiene and appearance

Able to work independently and as part of a team

Familiarity with safe use of cleaning chemicals and equipment (training provided)

Basic understanding of health & safety practices

Flexible with shifts — including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From AED2,500.00 per month
