Clinical Dietitian

MAIN PURPOSE OF JOB

To provide appropriate professional medical nutrition therapy and counselling to inpatients, outpatients and family members to ensure that the health needs of patients are cared for and improve lifestyles. To ensure patient safety and quality by monitoring food service operations to ensure compliance with nutritional and sanitation standards.

KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS

Effective and efficient implementation of dietary care plans for inpatients and outpatients

Monitor and manage food service operations to ensure patient safety and positive patient experiences

Orientate new food services and clinical employees on safe and healthy nutritional practices

Develop, review, update and implement educational material on nutrition for patients and wider community
