Clinical Director – Mindful Healing Works
Reports to: Executive Director (CEO)
Mindful Healing Works is seeking an experienced, mission-driven Clinical Director to lead and oversee the Clinical Division, ensuring the delivery of high-quality, ethical, and client-centered services across all programs. This key leadership role is responsible for supervising the Internship Director, Psychiatric Rehabilitation Program (PRP) Director, and clinical staff, while promoting excellence, accountability, and alignment with MHW’s mission, vision, and core values.
The Clinical Director will work closely with the Director of Operations to implement policies, procedures, and workflows that support compliance, operational efficiency, and optimal client care. This position also plays a critical role in hiring, onboarding, performance management, and strategic planning to support organizational growth.
The Clinical Director will report directly to the Executive Director and participate in weekly leadership meetings to share key performance metrics, clinical outcomes, and growth strategies.
Key Responsibilities:Clinical Leadership & Team Oversight- Provide direct leadership to the Internship Director, PRP Director, and all clinicians within the Clinical Division.
- Ensure all staff uphold the organization’s mission, vision, values, and ethical standards.
- Provide clinical supervision to therapists to ensure all care meets evidence-based, trauma-informed, and culturally responsive standards.
- Support team development through training, mentorship, and fostering a collaborative and strengths-based culture.
Program Management & Operations- Oversee daily operations of therapy services, internship program, and PRP services.
- Ensure coordinated communication between departments and alignment of all clinical programs.
- Assist with hiring, onboarding, and orienting new therapists and clinical staff.
- Track and monitor staff performance metrics, including productivity, documentation timeliness, and contractual obligations.
- Ensure clinicians maintain organizational expectations for caseload management and client engagement.
Quality Assurance, Compliance & Documentation- Implement and monitor quality assurance processes to maintain high standards of care.
- Review documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance with Maryland Medicaid, licensing boards, and internal policies.
- Address performance concerns promptly and collaborate on improvement plans.
- Ensure compliance with HIPAA, confidentiality requirements, and risk-management procedures.
- Partner with the Director of Operations on optimizing EHR workflows and system improvements.
- Ensure proper and consistent EMR usage among clinical staff.
- Provide training and support on documentation and EHR best practices.
Policy, Procedure & Program Development- Develop, revise, and enforce clinical policies, procedures, and treatment protocols.
- Evaluate systems regularly to ensure efficiency, compliance, and quality care delivery.
- Identify areas for program improvement and recommend strategic solutions.
Leadership Collaboration & Strategic Growth- Participate in weekly meetings with MHW Leadership to report clinical performance metrics, trends, and strategic opportunities.
- Monitor therapist productivity and service utilization.
- Collaborate with the Executive Director and Director of operations to enhance revenue while maintaining ethical clinical practices.
- Support organizational growth through planning, program development, and quality improvement initiatives.
Qualifications:- Active Maryland LCSW-C required.
- Board-Approved Clinical Supervisor (mandatory).
- Master’s degree in Social Work.
- Minimum 5 years post-licensure experience, including at least 2 years in supervisory or leadership roles.
- Strong knowledge of Maryland behavioral health regulations, Medicaid requirements, and clinical documentation standards.
- Experience supervising clinicians and managing programs in a behavioral health setting.
- Proficiency with EHR/EMR systems and ability to interpret performance and compliance data.
Preferred Skills:- Experience leading outpatient mental health or PRP programs.
- Familiarity with Maryland Medicaid and commercial insurance billing.
- Strong leadership, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to balance clinical quality with operational efficiency.

Compensation & Benefits:- Starting salary: $110,000+ annually, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
