Job Description


We are seeking a highly skilled Cloud Engineer with strong expertise in Microsoft Azure to support our cloud transformation initiatives. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in on-premises to Azure migrations, containerization technologies, and solid knowledge of Azure fundamentals, governance, security, and best practices.

Accountabilities

Cloud Migration & Modernization

  • Plan and support on-prem to Azure cloud migration projects (servers, applications, databases, and workloads).
  • Conduct assessments of existing infrastructure and recommend optimized cloud architectures.
  • Perform workload rationalization, rehosting, replatforming, or modernization based on business requirements.

Azure Engineering & Operations

  • Deploy and manage Azure services including VMs, VNets, Storage Accounts, IAM, Azure Firewall, Load Balancers, etc.
  • Implement and maintain Azure Landing Zones and governance frameworks.
  • Ensure compliance with security policies, identity standards, and resource management best practices.

Containerization & DevOps

  • Build, deploy, and manage containerized applications using Docker and Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS).
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines in collaboration with DevOps teams (Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions).
  • Support container orchestration, scaling, monitoring, and lifecycle management.
  • Cloud Performance, Monitoring & Optimization
  • Monitor cloud environments using Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, and Application Insights.
  • Optimize cloud resource utilization for cost, performance, and reliability.
  • Troubleshoot cloud-related issues and ensure high availability of critical workloads Implement and manage Microsoft Intune for endpoint security, compliance, and policy management.
  • Assist in deploying and managing Microsoft Copilot, including Copilot for Microsoft 365 and Azure integrations.

Physical Demands

  • Work Environment: Primarily an office-based or remote role with extended periods of computer use.
  • Mobility: Occasional travel may be required for on-site deployments, stakeholder meetings, or cloud migration projects.
  • Working Hours: Primarily Central hours, with flexibility for evenings and weekends as needed for critical projects or issue resolution.

Qualifications


Required Qualifications & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience as a Cloud Engineer, Infrastructure Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong experience with Azure IaaS and PaaS services.
  • Proven track record with on-prem to cloud migration projects.
  • Solid understanding of networking, security, identity, and governance in Azure.
  • Practical experience with containerization (Docker) and AKS/Kubernetes.

Preferred candidate profile

  • Familiarity with IaC tools like Terraform, Bicep, or ARM templates.
  • Experience with DevOps tooling (Azure DevOps, GitHub).
  • Azure certifications such as:
  • AZ-104: Azure Administrator Associate
  • AZ-900: Azure Fundamentals
