CMM Calibration Field Service Technician

Required Experience: 2 Years Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) calibration and/or CMM inspection.

Required Travel: Approximately 50% overnight travel per month. Road and air travel in addition to your local territory, approximately 2 hours from your home.

Starting Salary $75K, plus (based on experience). Company provided vehicle includes insurance, fuel, maintenance, and repair. Paid vacation, paid holidays, sick pay and health insurance (currently Health Net PPO). All required calibration equipment and supplies including laptop and cell phone provided. Calibrating, certifying, and repairing coordinate measuring machines (CMM's) at customer facilities. We perform service on all major brand CMMs. In addition to calibration and repair, technicians perform installations and/or retrofit CMM's with new hardware/software and provide training on equipment application. Required Skills

• Excellent customer service and professionalism
• Strong math skills
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Some electrical experience preferred
• Knowledge of AutoCAD or similar 3D part creation software is a plus

Responsibilities

• Calibration of various brands of CMMs at customer sites
• Service calls to diagnosis, troubleshoot and repair of CMMs
• Installation of new hardware and software
• Provide technical support to customers and other technicians
• Ensure prompt reporting of service to customers and the office

Training

Complete on-the-job training is provided for approximately 4 weeks (based on experience), working daily, at full salary, with an experienced CMM Technology technician.
