Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented CNC Operator and Draftsman to join our manufacturing team. In this role, you will be responsible for operating computer numerical control (CNC) machines, creating precise technical drawings, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Your expertise in CNC programming, blueprint reading, and mechanical knowledge will drive efficiency and accuracy across fabrication processes. Responsibilities
- Set up, operate, and monitor CNC machines including CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, and stamping presses to produce components according to specifications.
- Develop and modify CNC programs using CAM (Computer-Aided Manufacturing) software, ensuring optimal machining paths and efficiency.
- Read and interpret detailed blueprints, technical drawings, GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing), and CAD models to accurately produce parts.
- Perform precise measurements using calipers, micrometers, and other precision measuring instruments to verify dimensions and quality standards.
- Maintain machine tools such as press brake machines, fabrication tooling, and hand tools for optimal performance.
- Conduct quality control checks throughout the manufacturing process to identify defects or deviations from specifications.
- Collaborate with the fabrication team on materials handling, assembly line processes, and packaging to ensure seamless production flow.
- Utilize factory experience with warehouse operations, materials management, and safety protocols to uphold a safe working environment.
Qualifications
- Proven experience operating CNC machinery such as CNC milling machines, CNC lathes, stamping presses, or similar equipment within a manufacturing facility.
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming languages (Fanuc preferred), CAM programming software, and blueprint reading skills.
- Mechanical aptitude with understanding of fabrication processes including welding, tooling setup, and materials handling.
- Familiarity with programmable logic controllers (PLCs), Flexo presses, and welding techniques is a plus.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments like calipers and micrometers accurately for quality assurance.
- Basic math skills necessary for calculations related to machining tolerances and measurements.
- Experience with SolidWorks or other CAD software for drafting and design purposes.
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with factory experience in manufacturing or assembly lines.
