The Opportunity
Our firm is seeking several skilled and trial-ready contract attorneys to help serve as litigation co-counsel for a technology client working under our firm. This is a critical role in a high-stakes, fast-paced federal civil jury trial case focused on trade secrets and intellectual property. We require battle-tested litigators who can go toe-to-toe with BigLaw from day one through trial. This engagement is anticipated to last between 1 and 2 years. We are seeking several attorneys ranging from 3 to 15+ years of experience. The position may take 20-40 hours per week, depending on the attorney's existing commitments and case scheduling.
Key Responsibilities

Responsible for a high-profile trade secrets litigation case in federal court, serving as a legal resource on-site in Palo Alto

Develop and execute an aggressive litigation strategy, including discovery, motion practice, and trial preparation

Draft key pleadings such as preliminary injunction, dispositive motions, complex discovery requests, and responses

Conduct and defend depositions of key technical and fact witnesses

Act as a core member of the trial team, including examination of witnesses and argument of motions

Coordinate with other counsel, in-house team, and technical experts
Requirements
Desired Qualifications

J.D. from a top law school preferred.

Licensed and experienced in the Northern District of California

3+ years (junior role) OR 10+ years (mid-level or senior role) of federal civil litigation experience

Candidates must have significant hands-on litigation experience from complaint through verdict. Federal jury trial experience is preferred for the senior role.

Expertise in Complex Business Litigation: Knowledge, experience, and/or aptitude to delve deep into complex technology matters and intellectual property disputes

Demonstrated Ability to Litigate Against BigLaw: Proven track record of high-quality, aggressive, and strategic litigation in complex matters against AmLaw 100 firms

Excellent Written and Oral Advocacy: Superior legal research, writing, and presentation skills

On-Site Commitment: Must be able to work on-site in Palo Alto, CA
