Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Coffee and Tea Counter Attendant to join our team in Sharjah. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and serving a wide variety of high-quality coffee beverages and traditional teas. This role requires knowledge of various brewing techniques, the ability to operate and maintain specialized equipment, and a commitment to providing excellent customer service in a clean and organized environment.

Key Responsibilities

Beverage Preparation:

• Prepare and serve a range of coffee drinks (e.g., espresso, cappuccino, latte, Americano, cold brews) according to standard recipes and quality standards.
• Specialize in preparing various types of teas, including Karak tea, milk tea, black tea, and herbal teas, following traditional or specific recipes.
• Follow specific customer requests and customize drinks (e.g., milk preferences, sugar ratios, temperature).

Customer Service:

• Greet customers warmly, take orders accurately, and process payments using a Point-of-Sale (POS) system.
• Educate customers on different menu items, coffee blends, and brewing methods, making recommendations as needed.
• Ensure a positive and welcoming atmosphere, handling customer feedback or complaints in a professional manner.

Station Operations & Maintenance:

• Operate and maintain all coffee and tea equipment efficiently and safely, including espresso machines, grinders, and tea urns.
• Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the coffee and tea counter, equipment, and seating areas at all times, adhering to health and safety regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing duties, including setting up/clearing the station and cleaning equipment.

Inventory & Stock Management:

• Monitor and replenish stock levels of coffee beans, tea leaves, milk, syrups, disposable items (cups, lids), and other supplies.
• Assist with inventory counts and report any maintenance needs for equipment.

Required Skills & Qualifications

Proven experience as a Barista or in a similar role within a café, restaurant, or hotel environment is highly preferred.

Strong knowledge of coffee and tea preparation techniques is essential.

Ability to operate standard coffee machines and brewing equipment.

Excellent customer service and communication skills.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure.

Strong attention to detail, consistency, and time management skills.

Flexibility to work various shifts, including early mornings, evenings, weekends, and public holidays.

Knowledge of food safety and sanitation guidelines.

Salary would be 2000 AED all inclusive.
