The College/Division HR Coordinator provides advanced administrative support to the Division of Student Success. This position supports the HR Officer with coordination of HR related activities to include payroll, records management, training, classification projects, performance management, payroll, time sheet reporting, budget review, and staff recruitment.

HERE IS WHAT YOU WILL DO

  • Assist with updating policy and procedures for units. Assist with the departmental onboarding process. Assist the Senior HR Officer with new-hire orientation. Collaborate with department managers and the Senior HR Officer to provide clarification on policies and help draft procedures that promote operational consistency, compliance, and efficiency across the Division.


  • Coordinates graduate assistant process. Communicates relevant policy and procedures to students and departmental graduate assistant managers. Assist with initiating MSS transactions for student leaders/ student assistants, temporary employees, and non-paid affiliates.


  • Initiate and process MSS transactions for all employment actions, including new staff hires, employment status, and payroll action requests, ensuring that all documentation is accurate, complete, and submitted in compliance with University policies and deadlines. Compile eTIME requests to send to HRIS weekly. Provide customer service by answering employee requests and questions. Attends HR meetings to stay abreast of University policy and procedures. Contribute to initiatives aimed at improving efficiency and the overall quality of HR services provided to the Division of Student Success.
  • Manages personnel documents. Ensure that documents are properly routed to Employee Relations, HRIS, or Benefits as necessary. Support managers in performance evaluations and feedback processes. Submit final evaluations to Central HR. Assist the Senior HR Officer with creating performance improvement plans for under-performing employees. Monitor document workflows to ensure confidentiality and secure handling of sensitive employee information.


  • Provide support to the Senior HR Officer throughout the recruitment and selection process for staff positions. Responsibilities include reviewing and screening applications to identify qualified candidates, collaborating on the development of interview questions aligned with job requirements, coordinating with hiring managers and interview panels to schedule interviews, and ensuring all logistical arrangements are in place. Act as a point of contact to facilitate clear communication between Talent Acquisition and the hiring team, helping to ensure the recruitment process is efficient, timely, and aligned with organizational policies and best practices.
