Overview
MDI Construction is seeking a full-time field project supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily construction site operations, ensuring adherence to project plans, schematics, and safety protocols.
  • Coordinate with project managers, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate seamless workflow and timely delivery of project milestones.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings to guide onsite activities accurately.
  • Oversee quality control processes to maintain high standards of workmanship and compliance with specifications.
  • Manage project scheduling using construction management software such as Primavera P6 or Primavera P6 alternatives to keep projects on track.
  • Monitor site safety by enforcing OSHA standards and conducting regular safety inspections; address hazards promptly.
  • Control project budgets by tracking costs, managing procurement, reviewing contracts, and overseeing construction estimating processes like HeavyBid.
  • Utilize construction management tools such as ProCore and Bluebeam for documentation, progress tracking, and communication.
  • Supervise teams effectively by providing clear direction, mentoring staff, and ensuring productivity aligns with project goals.
  • Conduct routine inspections using tools like ohmmeters for electrical quality checks; ensure all work meets code requirements and client expectations.

Requirements

  • 18 months experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with supervising responsibilities on active sites.
  • Strong knowledge of construction site safety standards including OSHA regulations.
  • Proficiency in construction management software such as Contractor Foreman, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or equivalent tools.
  • Excellent blueprint reading skills along with the ability to interpret schematics and technical drawings accurately.
  • Hands-on experience with construction site operations including quality control procedures and use of measurement tools like ohmmeters.
  • Effective management skills with a history of supervising teams in fast-paced environments; strong communication skills are essential.
  • Driver's License

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $24.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
