REPORTS TO: AVP, Director of Commercial Loan Administration & CRA Officer

SUPERVISES: None

GRADE: 10

FLSA: Non-Exempt

PAY RANGE: $20 - $23 per hour commensurate with education and experience

POSITION SUMMARY:

The Commercial Loan Administrator prepares, and reviews new commercial loan documents, enters new commercial loan data into the Bank’s core processing system, processes onboarding of commercial loans and performs quality control checks; provides support and assistance to the AVP, Director of Commercial Loan Administration & CRA Officer and officers of the lending department by ensuring that all required information is obtained prior to the scheduling of commercial loan closings.

Requirements

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:

  • Associate’s Degree in business, finance or related area or equivalent experience within a financial institution, loan department or similar area.
  • Ability to coordinate assigned tasks and track them to completion
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Good written and oral communication skills, and attention to detail
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office software

MAJOR DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare and organize CML loan closing documents for loan officers and communicate with bank attorneys
  • Creates CML loan account data in core processing system, including new borrowers and guarantors
  • Process onboarding of new CML loans in core processing system
  • Process quality control checks of newly originated CML loans
  • Process CML loan modifications, rate reductions, re-amortizations & releases in core processing system
  • Process CML line of credit renewals in core processing system
  • Assist loan officers and customers with payments, payoffs and corrections to CML loan accounts
  • Assists with participation loan funds transfer documents and related core system data entry
  • Process CML construction loan disbursements
  • Prepares and files DMV and UCC filings, continuations and terminations
  • Reviews and prepares daily notices and monthly billing statements for participants and lead banks
  • Reviews and reconciles monthly participation loan reports
  • Handles customer problems and complaints; counsels customers with special needs or requests.
  • Prepares reports as needed for the officers of the department and Board of Directors
  • Provision of adequate and accurate support for commercial lending group, as needed, and AVP, Director of Commercial Loan Administration & CRA Officer
  • Other duties as requested

BANK SECRECY ACT (BSA):

Before assuming any duties, each employee will be trained in the proper filing and logging procedures for large currency transactions and the sale of monetary instruments.

Each employee will immediately report suspicious currency transactions or activity to their immediate supervisor or the BSA Officer.

All employees will become familiar with how their customers handle their accounts and will report any transactions that are not within the normal activities of the customer.

The employee will be trained in compliance with the BSA, USA PATRIOT ACT and associated laws and regulations under the Bank’s Compliance Program as it pertains to his or her job functions. Employees are expected to meet all compliance requirements as stated within the Bank’s BSA/AML/CIP/OFAC Program. Failure to meet these compliance standards may adversely affect performance appraisals and may result in disciplinary action up to and including termination. Employee’s compliance violations may result in termination, individual fines, and possible imprisonment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $23.00 per hour
