Commercial QS

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Commercial Quantity Surveyor (QS) to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing all commercial and cost-related activities, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and efficiency across various projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain and update a comprehensive payment tracker/log, including Advance Payments, Progress Payments, Work Orders, and Retentions.
• Prepare and monitor project budget logs, track payment expenditures, and forecast project costs to ensure financial control.
• Liaise regularly with the Finance Department to maintain financial accuracy and compliance with company policies.
• Organize and manage records of Advance Invoices, Progress Invoices, Tax Invoices, and Retentions for Clients, Suppliers, and Factory Work Orders.
• Coordinate and oversee commercial activities with Clients and Suppliers.
• Prepare detailed and accurate Statements of Account for internal and external stakeholders.
• Review and evaluate contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance and mitigate risks.
• Prepare and process Purchase Requests (PRs), Purchase Orders (POs), and Payment Requests in a timely manner.
• Facilitate document preparation and submission for workflow approvals, including PRs, POs, and contract-related documentation.
• Manage the billing and invoicing process for both Clients and Suppliers.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of Accounting and Finance principles to support commercial operations.
• Implement effective cost control measures to ensure adherence to project budgets and optimize financial performance.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of relevant experience, preferably within the metal, steel, or construction industry.
• Strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office and related project or accounting software is an advantage.

Pay: QAR3,000.00 - QAR4,500.00 per month
