We are looking for a talented and motivated Commis I with proven UAE experience in catering or high-end restaurant environments. The ideal candidate will support daily kitchen operations within an office site-based setting, delivering high-quality meals and contributing to premium catering services for corporate staff and events. This role is ideal for a skilled culinary professional who can work efficiently, maintain high standards, and thrive in a fast-paced, structured environment.

Responsibilities:

· Food Preparation: Prepare and cook menu items under the direction of senior chefs. Ensure all dishes meet quality, taste, and presentation standards.

· Menu Execution: Assist with mise en place, daily meal service, and preparation for meetings, staff lunches, and office-based functions.

· Culinary Support: Support the Chef de Partie and Sous Chef in all kitchen duties. Execute assigned tasks efficiently and accurately.

· Quality & Consistency: Maintain consistency in food production, ensuring all dishes align with company and culinary standards.

· Hygiene & Safety Compliance: Follow strict food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP and UAE food regulations). Maintain cleanliness of workstations and equipment.

· Stock & Inventory: Assist with stock rotation, labeling, portion control, and minimizing food waste. Report any shortages or equipment issues to the senior chef.

· Team Collaboration: Work cooperatively with the kitchen team to ensure smooth kitchen operations, especially during peak times or special event catering.

· Equipment Handling: Properly handle and maintain kitchen tools and equipment, ensuring they are cleaned and stored safely.

· Learning & Development: Stay updated on culinary techniques and contribute to new menu ideas as guided by senior chefs.

Qualifications:

· 2–4 years of experience in the UAE as a Commis I or similar role.

· Background in catering services or high-end / fine-dining restaurants is essential.

· Strong foundation in kitchen techniques, food preparation, and presentation.

· Ability to follow instructions and standard recipes precisely.

· Understanding of UAE food safety standards and HACCP procedures.

· Familiarity with international cuisine and large-scale catering is a plus.

· High level of professionalism, reliability, and attention to detail.

· Ability to work under pressure while maintaining quality and speed.

· Certificate or diploma in Culinary Arts or Professional Cookery preferred.
