Food Preparation & Cooking

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian dishes (North Indian, South Indian, or regional specialties as required).
  • Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
  • Prepare marinades, curry bases, gravies, tandoori items, and accompaniments.
  • Operate and maintain tandoor ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment safely.
  • Assist senior chefs in menu development and daily mise en place.

Quality & Hygiene

  • Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
  • Ensure the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment are clean and well maintained.
  • Properly store food items according to temperature and safety guidelines.
  • Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in inventory control.

Teamwork & Communication

  • Coordinate with other sections (hot, cold, tandoor, curry, pastry, etc.) to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
  • Support colleagues during busy service times.
  • Attend daily briefings and follow instructions from senior chefs.
