Food Preparation & Cooking
- Prepare, cook, and present high-quality Indian dishes (North Indian, South Indian, or regional specialties as required).
- Ensure consistency in taste, presentation, and portioning.
- Prepare marinades, curry bases, gravies, tandoori items, and accompaniments.
- Operate and maintain tandoor ovens, grills, and other kitchen equipment safely.
- Assist senior chefs in menu development and daily mise en place.
Quality & Hygiene
- Follow all food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP).
- Ensure the kitchen area, utensils, and equipment are clean and well maintained.
- Properly store food items according to temperature and safety guidelines.
- Monitor stock levels, report shortages, and assist in inventory control.
Teamwork & Communication
- Coordinate with other sections (hot, cold, tandoor, curry, pastry, etc.) to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
- Support colleagues during busy service times.
- Attend daily briefings and follow instructions from senior chefs.
