MamaLu Kitchen is seeking a charismatic, skilled, and people-focused Pastry Chef de Partie to join our growing cooking school on Palm Jumeirah.

This role is perfect for someone with exceptional pastry skills, a flair for teaching, and the confidence to work with both adults and children, while also being comfortable preparing select savory dishes like fresh pasta.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver interactive pastry and cooking classes with confidence, clarity, and charisma.
• Teach both children and adults, adapting your approach to different age groups.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen following strict health, safety, and hygiene standards.
• Coordinate daily with the Events & Sales Coordinator to plan class schedules, menus, and ingredients.
• Prepare a variety of pastries and desserts, including:
• Breads and artisan loaves
• Cakes and cake decorating
• Choux pastry, eclairs, and profiteroles
• Macarons
• Cookies and biscuits
• Cupcake decorating
• Prepare select savory dishes like fresh pasta.
• Manage ordering, supplier communication, and full mise en place for all classes.

Who We’re Looking For

• Expert in pastries – breads, cakes, cake decorating, choux pastry, macarons, eclairs, cookies, and cupcakes.
• Charismatic, upbeat, and confident leading groups of children and adults.
• Patient, adaptable, and comfortable teaching in a lively, interactive environment.
• Strong culinary foundation with basic knowledge of savory dishes (fresh pasta, pizza/focaccia).
• Highly organized, proactive, and detail-oriented.
• Experience in a professional kitchen (3–5+ years).
