About the Role:
We are seeking a talented and passionate Commis Chef to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in culinary arts, a creative mindset, and a desire to continuously learn and grow in their role. As a Commis Chef, you will work closely with our Executive Chef and Sous Chef to prepare and present high-quality dishes that will delight our guests.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in the preparation and cooking of a variety of dishes, including appetizers, entrees, and desserts
- Ensure all food is prepared and presented according to the restaurant's standards
- Maintain a clean and organized work station at all times
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure timely and efficient service
- Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food and kitchen supplies
- Assist in the development of new menu items and specials
- Adhere to all safety and health regulations
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Commis Chef or similar role
- Culinary arts degree or equivalent certification
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and techniques
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Excellent communication and team player skills
- Attention to detail and creativity in food presentation
- Availability to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
