- Must have worked in same position minimum of 3 years from prominent hotel or catering company
- Assist in preparing and baking a wide variety of items such as cakes, cookies, pies, bread, and pastries, following established recipes and instructions.
- Measure, mix, and prepare ingredients (e.g., washing, peeling, chopping fruits) and ensure all necessary supplies are on hand for daily production.
- Help in decorating and plating desserts and pastries to ensure they meet quality and presentation standards set by the senior chefs.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary work station at all times, including cleaning equipment, utensils, and surfaces.
- Assist in monitoring ingredient stock levels, receiving deliveries, proper storage, rotation, and labeling of products to maintain freshness and minimize waste.
- Learn to safely and efficiently operate basic bakery and kitchen equipment, such as ovens, mixers, and fryers.
- Work effectively with other kitchen staff and follow instructions from senior chefs (Chef de Partie, Sous Chef) to coordinate pastry production and support overall kitchen operations.
- Show a commitment to learning new techniques and growing as a professional chef, often participating in training sessions as required.
