We’re looking for compassionate, creative, and motivated individuals to join our launch team as Community Inclusion Specialists (POD Leaders).

Position Overview

As a Community Inclusion Specialist (POD Leader) at The Inclusion Way, you’ll lead small groups (“Pods”) of adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities in meaningful community-based activities that promote independence, purpose, and joy.

Your work will directly help members set and achieve goals for independent living while contributing to a culture of inclusion and belonging throughout the San Diego community.

Job Status

• Full-time, Nonexempt
• Requires a valid driver's license
• Employees will need to have reliable transportation for the member (client), providing daily pick-up and drop-off, and will receive mileage reimbursement in accordance with current IRS provisions. Employee vehicles must be registered, insured, pass monthly vehicle inspections, and be capable of transporting up to four (4) members (clients).
• Requires a reliable vehicle with valid registration and insurance
• Mileage reimbursement for all business-related travel

Compensation

• Starting Pay: $20.50/hour
• Growth Pay: Increases to $22.00/hour after completing your first full year while meeting growth and training standards

Work-Life Balance

Pod Leaders typically work Monday through Friday, 8:30 AM to 4:30 PM, with occasional evening or Saturday activities for community events.

Schedules are adjusted accordingly—and overtime pay is available when applicable.

Location & Commute

The Inclusion Way operates community-based hub locations throughout the Greater San Diego Region. As much as possible, Pod Leaders are assigned hub locations as close to their homes as possible; however, there is no written guarantee, verbal assurance, or other explicit commitment. Therefore, it is expected that all employees will work as assigned and directed.
